The Kansai Branch, being the western Japan base of JVIA, engages in activities for the mutual development of its members. As of 2007, the branch has 65 member organizations (51 regular members and 14 associate members). Activities in 2007 are, firstly, to contribute to the development of the vacuum industry in the Kansai area by providing the latest vacuum-related information promptly and opportunities for members to absorb such information; and second, to help members develop their businesses by providing opportunities where they can exchange information.
