The Planning Committee is composed of Chairmen from the various specialized committees. This committee acts as an advisory body to the Board of Directors. It is also responsible for planning, proposing and administering the business plan of the association.
The Education Committee conducts investigations and makes proposals on educational issues in the vacuum industry. The Education sub-committee plans and runs various seminars, and the Publishing sub-committee publishes the bi-monthly technology information magazine "Vacuum Journal" and other reference books related to vacuum technology.
The Standardization Committee conducts maintenance of vacuum-related standards and the vacuum-related electronic database. The Technical standards sub-committee, in cooperation with the Vacuum Society of Japan, revises and drafts JIS, ISO and other standards, and submits proposals to upper organizations. The Digital database sub-committee engages in the creation of vacuum industry-related electronic databases at the working level.
The Technology Committee collects information on new and future technologies and investigates their potential and any problems for solving for the objective of creating new industries that apply vacuum technology. This committee also engages in activities to provide investigation results for its members, academia, and enterprises.
The Statistics Committee engages in the evaluation of overall market trends by investigating statistics for orders received and the sale of vacuum equipment by member companies, and by performing the investigation of market trends by industry, and mid- and short-term forecasts of orders. The results are partially published every quarter. This committee also engages in activities to promote social awareness and development of vacuum industries. The committee is made up of an Equipment sub-committee and a Component sub-committee.
The Environment amp; CS Committee contributes to the improvement of the environment, health and safety in all stages of the life cycle through manufacturing and sales of vacuum equipment in order to fulfill customer service, and expectation of the members, administration and local community. The committee is made up of an Environment sub-committee and a CS sub-committee.
The Exhibition Committee hosts the annual "Japan Vacuum Show," which is a comprehensive technical exhibition demonstrating the results of vacuum technology and related equipment.
